Marleen has a strong background
in canine behavior both from an educational and practical perspective. With
animal behavioral studies at the University of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania
State University (PSU), and University of Michigan and dog training apprenticeships
under Bill Koehler and Milo Pearsall, she served as training director and/or
instructor for seven kennel clubs in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio and
Georgia and taught training classes at PSU. Additionally, Marleen ran her
own obedience school in Morgantown. W. Va. for six years. In the early 1970's,
she was a pioneer in early puppy training now known as "Puppy Kindergarten."
Because of her judging commitments, Marleen is now limited to working with individuals and their pets on behavior issues as well as training for obedience, Rally and agility. |
